Hand Signals

I’m not here to reinvent the wheel, so here are some links to some sites who have already done the work.

It is good to know the hand signals in case someone in your group doesn’t have commo gear, or your CB’s or radios breakdown. Remember “Murphy’s Law” and Murphy likes to go on Motorcycle Trips.

The hand signals are meant to be viewed from in front or behind while riding in groups.

I use the same hand signal, pointing at my gas tank for ‘refreshment stops”, “need fuel” and “comfort stops”, because they both mean you want to stop at the next available location. In small groups I just pull along side the other rider and point at my tank.

AMA, probably the best examples:

More basic but has a unique variation at the end which I don’t recommend.
